Nectar Ambrosia’s Ararat cafe/restaurant offers modern Australian cuisine with a classic Italian twist. In the best of European tradition, we love shared dining and encourage you to linger over one of our divine Share Platters.

Mix and match your favourite tapas dishes from our extensive offerings to create your signature platter. Perhaps crisp potato with spring pea puree and pancetta, teamed with smoked trout crostini with anchovy butter and fried caper and a sea salt squid with a little grilled asparagus and lime hollandaise. Perfecto!

At Nectar Ambrosia, we believe in and celebrate our local food artisans. Our seasonal menu is based on the freshest produce sourced from regional growers and producers.

Antipasto plates, house-baked breads, cheese platters and a delectable array of cakes, biscuits and muffins is available all day. Or join us for a lunch of marinated Meredith Dairy feta, olive, slow roast tomato and basil tart or perhaps a warm salad of crisp salami and shredded eye fillet with spinach, toasted cashew, caramelised mandarin and sweet Dijon dressing. The full range of lunch options ranges from a light soup to something more substantial.

By night, choose from aged scotch fillet, a duck, porcini mushroom, pea and roast butternut pumpkin risotto or a crisp-skin fresh market fish – and more! End your dining experience with an exquisite dessert. Perhaps the honey and white chocolate panna cotta with cognac anglaise and vanilla strawberry? The carefully crafted dinner menu, with its subtle Italian and Asian undertones, caters to all tastes. Delicious vegetarian options are also available.
